Denmark's annual 'Tønder Festival' boasts all star line-up for 2008...

 

Mary BlackThe annual 'Tønder Festival' folk music festival in Tønder, Denmark takes place between the 28th - 31st August.

Founded in 1975, the festival has developed itself into one of the most important festivals for traditional and modern folk music. There were 1950 volunteers attached to the festival in 2007. The program is composed of international artists from especially Ireland, Scotland, Canada, USA, England and Scandinavia.

Amongst the line up this year, will be - Mary Black (pictured), Oysterband, Eddi Reader, Altan, Seth Lakeman, Bruce Guthro, Shooglenifty, The Duhks, Drever/McCusker & Woomble, Emily Smith, Anna Massie and Brian McNeil.
