the biggest arts festival in the world, and it's the one
festival that's right here on The Garden Sessions doorstep,
The Edinburgh Festival encompasses the Edinburgh International
Festival, International Film Festival, Jazz & Blues
Festival, Book Festival, Edinburgh Mela, People's Festival,
Festival Of Politics and the biggest and most succesfull
of all - The Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Originally set up
as a smaller, a more acessable alternative to The International
Festival, both of which began in 1947. The Garden Sessions
will be broadcasting weekly throughout to bring you the
best in new songwriting & traditional folk music at
this year's Edinburgh Festival
This year, as in years gone
by, The Acoustic Music Centre at St. Brides looks set to
be one of the festival's folk hot spots, rivalled only by
'Festival Folk at The Oak' - performing at St. Brides this
year will be (amongst others), Dick Gaughan (pictured),
Martin Carthy, Malinky, Old Blind Dogs, former Garden Sessions
number 1's Lori Watson 3,
Deaf Shepherd, Burach, Lau & loads more). We'll keep
you up to date with all the acts across Edinburgh this August
on the Garden Sessions.
The
Garden Sessions FREE internet radio show (or Podcast) will
be broadcasting weekly during the Edinburgh Festival, to
bring you full coverage of the folk & traditional elements
of Fringe 2007.
