Carolyn Anona Scott scoops top prize at Royal Oak Songwriting Competition 2008

Carolyn Anona ScottFormer Garden Sessions featured artist and occasional contributor (interviewing Nizlopi and Houghmagandhi) Carolyn Anona Scott has scooped the prestigious top prize at this year's Royal Oak Songwriting Competition after wowing judges Eberhart "Paddy" Bort, Tom Fairnie and David Ferrard with the touching tribute to her grandmother 'Old Tea Stains'.

Anona Scott is a singer/songwriter living and working in Edinburgh. A regular gigger around town, and compere at many acoustic showcases for 'Never Ending Arts' - a project aimed at revolutionising Edinburgh's arts scene through gig promotions and the likes, Carolyn also dedicates any spare time to community arts projects and enjoys getting involved in pretty much anything creative. She was the Garden Sessions featured artist on episode 27 of our fortnightly internet radio show (or Podcast).
