Knockengorroch's 'Hairth 2008' set to bring festival season to an end, in style...

 

Knockengorroch's Hairth FestivalOrganisers of The Hairth Festival at Knockengorroch have announced new acts for the grassroots festival extravaganza. DJ Aphrodite, commonly known as the ‘godfather of jungle’ and MC Junior Red will join the hand picked selection of live acts from around the world including the intriguing Warsaw Village Band, flying in from Poland with their bio-techno interpretation of Polish folk and songwriter virtuoso Rory Mcleod. The Knockengorroch hills will also feature aerial acrobatics and dance from Glasgow's Spinal Chord Project. The full line-up as confirmed: Warsaw Village Band, Kathryn Tickell Band, Rory Mcleod, N’Faly Kouyate & Dunyakan, Chumbawamba, Nucleus Roots, Jock Tamson's Bairns, Mas y Mas, Bombskare, Big Hand, Kangaroo Moon, Big Hand, Warblefly, Jacob's Pillow, DJ Aphrodite and MC Junior Red, Mungo’s Hi Fi Sound System, Trouble.

Festival visitors can now gain entry from Thursday 18th to the festival. The music will start on Friday 19 and finish in the early hours of Monday 22. The event promises to complete the Summer Festivals Season with an explosion of top musical acts from the Celtic diaspora and beyond.
