it's news, it's folk, it's The Folkie News at the Garden Sessions

It's the calm befor the storm that is, The Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008...

Fringe 2008The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is hurtling towards us like an unstoppable folk train!! Only two weeks on Friday til the first preview. Naturally the garden sessions team will be pitching their outside broadcasting tent in the press section of the Acoustic Music Centre @ St Brides, being sure to be the first in breaking folkie, festival news! We’ll be treated to the sounds of Tam White, Bert Jansch, the McCalmans, Breabach, Burach, Brechin Wilkinson and Martin but to name a few.

The Royal Oak, of course - will be one of the hotspots in the Festival as always, for those of the folkie inclination. With acts such as Martin Boland and Alan Hunter, Tom McConville, Doghouse Roses, Jim Malcolm, Ian Bruce, Claire Mann and Aaron Jones and Sinsheen to name but a few - it's a line up not to be missed. Rest assured that Garden Sessions will be breaking all the folkie stories throughout.
