Festival Folk at the Oak: 2007 Line up announced.

Festival Folk at The OakIt may only be June, but folkies across Edinburgh (and indeed the world) will be pleased to hear that the 2007 line up for Festival Folk at the Oak (Royal Oak, Edinburgh) has been released. Festival Folk at The Oak is one of (if not the) place for folk music during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Running now for over a decade and promising a staggering 34 acts over the course of the festival featuring performances from Nick Keir, former Garden Sessions featured artist Martin Boland, Ian Bruce, former Garden Sessions number 1 Jim Malcolm, Paul McKenna & Ubesky Brod, Steve Byrne & Alastair McDonald.

As well as the Festival Folk line up, you can expect a special addition to each evening from the 3rd -27th August, from 6.45pm - 7.45pm (just before the main show) David Ferrard will be holding court downstairs at the Oak for just £5.

You can also expect later opening hours, and be gaurunteed that all folkies and traditional musicians in town will find their way to the Royal Oak sometime before last orders. The Garden Sessions will also be there, bringing you the sounds of the sessions, reviews of the acts and speaking with performers and festival goers alike. Don't forget that The Garden Sessions will be running weekly during the Edinburgh Festival - bringing you the best of the new songwriting and traditional folk music that the festival has to offer.
