Edinburgh Prepares for it's Annual Ceilidh Culture Festival, 2008...

 

Karine PolwartEdinburgh's annual folk festival, Ceilidh Culture is back this March. Ceilidh Culture brings together a large number of contributors from all over Edinburgh and beyond, for a real celebration of all that is wonderful about the traditional arts in Scotland. With more than 30 contributing organisations, Ceilidh Culture proudly showcases local talent alongside international acts. Offering up music, song, dance and storytelling, as well as the chance to get involved in some workshops.

Featuring at this year's Ceilidh Culture, are Karine Polwart (Pictured), Julie Fowlis, Kris Delmhorst, Lau & The Ross Ainslie, Jarlath Henderson Trio, Kim Edgar, Jackie Leven, Billy Joe Shaver and The Cast plus many more.

Running parralel to Ceilidh Culture is The Royal Oak Folk Festival, which promises a storming line to be released very soon.
