Marcus
Moon
"Guarunteed:
you will never have heard anything quite like Marcus Moon before,
and never will again." GARDEN SESSIONS |
|
Mark lives in his one man tent by the banks of Loch
Tay, in Scotland. He looks after a small herd of goats and writes
songs inspired by Leonard Cohen and Ivor Cutler, which he sings
in his own distinctive style, often accompanied by his good friends
Iain Stewart and Katy MacLeod, who play piano, fiddle, double bass,
accordion and mandolin... amongst other instruments.

Loch
Tay Poacher (1.9 Mb /
2:18)
This is a song about a poacher,
whether or not he was a benevolent animal lover or a crap
poacher - "he never once killed his prey". |

Bin
Laden (2.7 Mb
/ 1:37)
Marcus has a beard, as do
several of his compadres in Loch Tay - and many of the locals
had been known to refer to them as "the Loch Tay Taliban".
This was due to their beards, and the fact they drove around
in a 'traffic' van - which at the time was identical to the
van that the real Taliban were driving in several news footage
clips. |
