Lucy
Pringle Trio
"the jaunty
rythm and technical perfection of Emily Smith entwined with the
down to earth honesty of Karine Polwart." GARDENSESSIONS.CO.UK |
|
The Lucy Pringle Band comprises singer Lucy Pringle,
Denise Cant (fiddle) Robin Galloway (guitar and song). Though the
three have been playing together for less than a year, highlights
include a sell out concert at the Edinburgh Folk Club, The Wee Folk
Club and winning the open stage competition at Innerleithen Music
Festival.
Before a period of exile in Australia,
Lucy performed with Scots singing quartet The Linties. Denise regularly
plays fiddle for Da Hooley, and also accompanies the step dance
classes held by ALP Scots Music Group. Robin teaches guitar and
plays double bass with Bella Mcnab's Dance Band.

The
King's Shillin' (4.3
Mb / 3:46)
To accept the King's Shilling, was
a commitment to go to war. The song treds familiar folk territory
as a lament to lost loved ones fighting for King and country. |

Neath
The Gloamin' Star At E'en (4.6
Mb / 3:58)
It's a love song, and it's
performed by Robin Galloway. |
