Knockengorroch:
World Ceilidh 2008
Three days of Knockengorroch will normally leave
all festival goers feeling a wee bit tender once it's all over,
but this year's World Ceilidh was four days long and (for the
first time since we started going) it was sunny and warm. Anyone
who wasn't there should have been - unfortunately there are no
valid excuses folks, no - there's none.
But don't worry, as ever the Garden Sessions have
produced a report on the event - released as part of
episode 61 of the show. All the best bits and best tunes for
those who weren't there and to help those nursing themselves out
of the post festival blues...
Capercaillie
It's still another 3 and a half months to go till
the next Knockengorroch, but rest assured - the Garden Sessions
will be there. And thus far we can tell you that amongst the many
acts appearing at 'The Hairth 2008' will be Kathryn Tickell, Chumba
Wumba, Rory McLeod, Jock Tamson's Bairns, Jacob's Pillow and more.
Tickets for the festival are only available in advance though,
so get booking. Either phone 01644 460 662 or visit:

to go to episode 61 of the show, or you can just click 'Listen
Now' at the top right of the page. It's a bumper show this week,
Frank's back in the Bothy with Jack and Dave - and on top of all
the usual features, we've coverage from Emily Smith's album launch
for 'Too Long Away', Leith Folk Club's 200th concert and of course,
our feature from Knockengorroch's World Ceilidh 2008, which saw
a rare weekend of sun to celebrate it's 20th festival and 10 year
anniversary. Join us!
