John
Dignan
"one of the
best songwriters on the Edinburgh scene." MARTIN BOLAND |
|
John Dignan is an Edinburgh based singer/songwriter,
and can be seen from time to time in many of the various folk venues
of the capital, if it's not on the first Thursday of the month at
the Bowler's Rest (Leith) - he might be torn from his pint of Guinness
for a few songs in The Royal Oak at the weekend. The songs featured
here are taken from 'The Falside Sessions' recorded in the Scottish
Borders...

Diamonds
Over The Forth (5 Mb /

A fantastic song which celebrates
the beauty and structural majesty of the Forth Rail Bridge
which connects Edinburgh and Fife. The symbol and the men
who built it. |

The
Banners That We Fly (5.4
Mb / 4:27)
A song about politics, war
and hope. The divisions which drive us apart, and ultimately
- that which brings us together. |
